Recently I searched on Google for Bank Owned homes for sale in Orlando, Florida and on the google map the first item was http://www.therehabdeals.com. I clicked on this website and see an overweight guy wearing a t-shirt that says dealer, sitting in his home office wanting me to input my name and email because he allegedly has some hook up with lenders. Now I'm not saying this guy does or does not have the hook up with lenders, all I'm saying is why not just put the properties for sale that he has on his website like we do? Show the bank owned homes for sale that are available on the MLS. In my opinion, any other way of trying to buy properties, whether it's an auction or some guy with a video website could be a scam. Do your due diligence and buy the right way.
WASHINGTON – Buying a home is about to get cheaper for a whole new crop of homebuyers — $6,500 cheaper.
First-time homebuyers have been getting tax credits of up to $8,000 since January as part of the economic stimulus package enacted earlier this year. But with the program scheduled to expire at the end of November, the Senate voted Wednesday to extend and expand the tax credit to include many buyers who already own homes. The House is scheduled to vote on the bill Thursday.
Buyers who have owned their current homes at least five years would be eligible for tax credits of up to $6,500. First-time homebuyers — or anyone who hasn't owned a home in the last three years — would still get up to $8,000. To qualify, buyers in both groups have to sign a purchase agreement by April 30, 2010, and close by June 30.
"This is probably the last extension," said Sen. Johnny Isakson, R-Ga., a former real estate executive who championed the credits.
